A series of handmade books based on the Alchemical belief that as a work is completed, the Alchemist undergoes a similar positive growth. The books follow the symbolic colors of an Alchemical work.

27 post-bound 8x10 inch canvas pages. Acrylic paint and gel, 4x5 photographic prints, typewritten transferred journal entries and 16 3 inch CDRs with audio interpretation of written journals.

April 2009 - December 2009

66 post-bound 12x12 inch canvas pages. Acrylic paint and gel, 4x5 photographic prints, gesso, photocopies and photocopy transfers, typewritten and handwritten journal entries and various artifacts.

Vitriol
March 2011

21 individually stained pages, each with handcolored phototgraph from wet plate collodion negative. The reverse of each page contains a handwritten journal entry which has been ripped out, burnt and written over with the resulting ashes. Cover is made of antiqued copper plates.
